Crousetown Baroque Concert II

St. Mary's Crousetown

Saturday, August 2, 2008

This is the 49th (almost) Annual Concert!

(for photos of Baroque Concert I on July 5, 2008 click here)

Many thanks to Anne Gunn, Doris House and Janice House who have organized and advertized for these concerts and provided supper for the musicians before the concert and refreshments for the audience following the concert.  We are also very grateful to Carol Slack-Wamboldt at the Petite Riviere Vineyards Winery who opened her doors to host the receptions and offered fine wines for tasting.

Again, over 100 people showed up on a foggy night.  They listened even into the street.

Organist Brian Start

St. Mary's pipe organ needs a pumper - David House pumped the bellows valiantly.

Megan Boyko was the cellist and Peter Dunn played violin.

The vocalists were Phyllis Knox (soprano) and Bruce Fifer (bass-baritone)

It was serious music and it was fun too!

Smiling souls lifted by the music and an evening together.

The Petite Riviere Vineyards Winery is where we gathered for a reception

and wine tasting hosted by Carol Slack-Wamboldt (photo is from another day).

Valiant effort David, but I don't think you're going to Beijing.
