Here is a typical day's schedule:

 

8:30 – 9:00 Registration & Preparation
9:00 – 9:20

Welcome and Opening Assembly & Prayers

Music

9:20 – 10:00 Assemble in Classes for Teaching
10:00 – 10:15

Snacks – Preschool, Primary, Grades 1 & 2

Games – All other grades

10:15 – 10:30

Snacks – Grades 3 and up

Games – Preschool, Primary, Grades 1 & 2

10:30 – 11:10 Assemble in Classes for Crafts
11:10 – 11:30     Closing Assembly with Prayer

Club VBS is a fun-filled, spiritual adventure that provides concentrated Bible study and encourages real-life application.

 

For the children in grades 1 to 6 the weekly plan is as follows:

Day 1

Dig into God's promises

Jesus is born

will understand the meaning of the word faithful; will discover how God's promises can give them strength; will learn the names of the four Gospels

will learn ways God kept His promises; will pop balloons to find the hidden words of the lifesaver; will begin a daily "Prayer Journal" in their Learner Guides.

Day 2

Dig into God's provision

Jesus feeds 5,000

will realize the difference between needs and wants; will discover ways God has met their needs; will help present the Bible story.

will act out the Bible story; will remember the Lifesaver by doing "the wave"; will use a concordance to discover their favorite Psalms of thanksgiving.

Day 3

Dig into God's power

 

Jesus Calms the Storm

will act out the Bible story; will find a "prayer buddy" to pray with; will review the week's lessons by playing a game.

will discover the importance of prayer by reading David's prayers in Psalms; will determine appropriate responses in real-life situations; will review the week's lessons by playing a game.

Day 4

Dig into God's plan

Jesus teaches Nicodemus

will learn the ABCs of being a Christian; will have an opportunity to talk about being a Christian; will spend time in quiet prayer.

will learn the ABCs of being a Christian; will create a song, chant, or motions to remember the ABCs; will have an opportunity to talk about being a Christian.

Day 5

Dig into God's presence

 

The Holy Spirit comes

will learn the Bible story by playing "Freeze Frame"; will discuss about telling others about Jesus; will remember the lifesaver by learning hand motions.

will learn God's plan of the gift of the Holy Spirit; will remember the Lifesaver by learning hand motions; will discuss ideas of how to tell, others about Jesus.
